Key Responsibilities:
1. Corporate Financial Management:
• Bookkeeping:
o Record all financial transactions, maintain ledgers, and reconcile accounts.
o Process invoices, payments, and expenses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
o Manage payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Financial Reporting:
o Prepare P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
o Conduct budget audits and monitor spending against forecasts.
o Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights for financial eQiciency.
• Forecasting & Budgeting:
o Develop and maintain annual budgets, including reforecasting as needed.
o Create detailed financial models to support decision-making and growth planning.
2. Personal Financial Management (CEO):
• Handle all aspects of the CEO’s personal finances, including:
o Bookkeeping for personal accounts, tracking income, expenses, and savings.
o Structuring payments such as salary and dividends for tax eQiciency.
o Preparing and filing personal tax returns in compliance with UK regulations.
o Providing regular financial updates on personal net worth and cash flow.
• Liaise with accountants (e.g., Shipleys) to ensure seamless tax management.
3. Investment Oversight:
• Actively manage investment portfolios, focusing on:
o Stock market investments, achieving consistent ROI.
o Researching and recommending new EIS/SEIS-qualified investments.
o Monitoring and reporting on portfolio performance with detailed analysis.
o Evaluating opportunities for diversification, including property investments.
• Draft financial models and investor materials for boutique investment deals.
4. Tax Management:
• Prepare and manage all corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with UK laws.
• Implement tax-eQicient strategies for both corporate and personal finances.
• Work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to optimize tax planning.
5. Operational & Bookkeeping Oversight (Sri Lanka Ventures):
• Maintain accurate financial records for Sri Lanka / International including bookkeeping, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Oversee all property investments and local business accounts, ensuring compliance with Sri Lankan financial regulations.
• Collaborate with local partners to ensure seamless operations and reporting.
6. Strategic Financial Planning:
• Develop long-term strategies to support both personal and corporate financial growth.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations for scaling consulting revenues and attracting investors.
• Assist in structuring boutique deals and preparing frameworks for potential investors.
• Collaborate with the CEO to align financial systems with broader business goals.
7. Day-to-Day Financial Administration:
• Manage all bank accounts, transactions, and reconciliations for corporate and personal entities.
• Process payments, handle petty cash, and maintain expense records.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of all financial records for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Oversee credit control, ensuring timely collection of receivables and managing payables.
8. Reporting & Analysis:
• Deliver monthly and quarterly reports covering:
o Personal and corporate cash flows.
o Budget performance and variance analysis.
o Investment performance and strategic recommendations.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by the CEO.
